We are looking for a highly capable, self motivated, and independent computer programmer for an opportunity where he/she will l have the chance to work on challenging problems related to animal conservation with a team of highly skilled professionals.


1. Three to five years of experience

2. English proficiency: TOEFL > 580

3. Knowledge in the following areas: java/java servlets/graphics/matlab/REST/virtualization technologies.


Sloop is a research project where biologist and computer scientists collaborate in animal conservation efforts. Biologists study animals, migration patterns, individuals development, while computer vision scientists develop algorithms for individual animal identification, image retrieval, and others that improve the workflow. The candidate will depurate and develop algoritms while keeping up the web site where the algorithms are allocated.

Salary depends on the candidate fulfillment of the requirements but is competitive. The project will last until mid 2015.
